Did you know that most women wear the wrong bra size? It is time to get your tape measure and find out which size you really are!
How to measure your bra size
You may want to wear a bra for support during the measurement but it is better if the bra does not have wire or padding. You are going to measure the two critical statistics: Band size & Cup size. The combination will provide your bra size.
- BAND SIZE: Position the tape measure around your ribcage, under your bust (where bra bands usually are). Make sure that the tape measure is unfolded, at the same height around your ribcage and tight enough to be accurate but not too tight (it should not cut into your skin).
- CUP SIZE: Standing, with your arms by your sides, measure around your body, at the fullest part of your bust, parallel to the floor.
- Report both measurements to the table below to find your size. Et voila!

Top tips for great fit
- Your bra should snug you but you should still be able to fit a finger underneath.
- The bra size that fits the best will vary according to the style and fabric.
- The front and back of the band should be even and parallel to the ground.
- Underwires should curve snugly around your breasts it should never cut into them. A test you can do is to push the wire of the bra when you have it on. If it feels soft, the wire is sitting on your breast tissue and you should try a larger cup size. If it feels hard, it is sitting on the ribcage and is therefore fitting you correctly.
- To put on a bra, bend over and lower your breasts into the cups. Then stand up and fit yourself more comfortably inside it.
- Make sure that you move around in your new bra. Lift your arms above your head and make sure it does not ride up and is still giving you the desired effect.
- Always fasten a new bra on the loosest hooks. The band should still be very snug. Wear and tear and washing will relax the fit. When this happens use the tighter.
- When trying your bra on, try it on under a tight fitting top. Make sure that it gives you the line and shape that you are looking for.
